Description
Our client is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join a growing enterprise data team.
This person will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the company's data platform.
Working alongside data engineering, analytics, and infrastructure teams, you'll help support business-critical data pipelines while driving improvements in automation, monitoring, and overall platform health.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:
Monitor, maintain, and optimize enterprise data pipelines supporting both real-time and batch processingTroubleshoot data ingestion, transformation, and delivery issues to ensure reliable data availabilityManage and optimize Snowflake environments, including warehouses, databases, security roles, and resource utilizationSupport Kafka infrastructure by monitoring clusters, topics, partitions, and consumer groupsDevelop automation and scripting to improve deployment, monitoring, recovery, and operational efficiencyPartner closely with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Infrastructure teams to improve platform performance and reliabilityImplement data quality checks, operational alerts, and monitoring to proactively identify issuesContribute to CI/CD processes and support ongoing data governance, security, and compliance initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of experience in Data Operations, Data Engineering, or a related technical roleStrong experience supporting production data platformsHands-on experience with Snowflake, including performance tuning, security, and data managementExperience working with Kafka and streaming data technologiesStrong SQL skills and experience with Python or another scripting languageExperience working in a cloud environment (AWS preferred)Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow or dbtSolid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and modern data architecture.
