QA Automation Engineer (SDET) - Fintech / Spend Management ๐Ÿงช At Shakers, we're partnering with a global, award-winning company in the corporate spend and expense management space to bring on a QA Automation Engineer. Fully remote role, embedded with the engineering squads that build their interconnected set of platform solutions. The challenge The product is a broad, interconnected system, and quality has to hold across every moving part. You'll own test coverage at the component, integration, and UI level: designing test plans, choosing the right methodology per component, and turning manual effort into automation the whole team can rely on. Day-to-day, you'll pair with developers to design systems for testability, triage and analyze results, and debug across production, test and development environments inside an agile, DevOps-driven setup. What matters here is depth of evidence and a real automation-first mindset, not just running scripts. Responsibilities Design, build and run automated integration, component and UI testsEstablish and drive test plans, selecting the right methodology per componentSpot automation opportunities and scope automation work into the product roadmapPair with developers to design systems for testabilityTriage and analyze test results, debugging across production, test and dev environmentsReport high-complexity defects backed by thorough research and evidenceContribute to API documentation and take part in peer code reviews Requirements 4+ years in QA engineering within a software development environmentHands-on with a Python test automation framework (Pytest, Selenium or Playwright, or equivalent)Solid SQL for data validationExperience designing, writing and running manual test casesVersion control with GitFamiliarity with AWS servicesGood grasp of the agile lifecycle and broad Computer Science fundamentalsAvailability for a hybrid model (2 days in the office per week) in Barcelona.C1 level of English and Spanish.
