Responsibilities
Design and implement platform infrastructure to support the next generation of insurance systems, taking ownership from problem definition through deliveryIdentify bottlenecks and build solutions that help the team move faster, balancing first-principles thinking with practical judgment about what matters mostOwn problems end-to-end, thinking through scalability, operability, and ongoing metrics—digging deep to understand root causes and optimize for real-world outcomesImplement reliability and performance improvements across the stack (infrastructure, deployment, observability)Iterate on existing platform tooling and services based on feedback from engineering teamsCollaborate with senior engineers on architectural decisions and technical direction
Experience
3-5 years of experience building and maintaining production systems at scaleExperience building distributed systems in Python or GoStrong understanding of modern API development best practices and designFamiliarity with AWS, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment best practicesDemonstrated ownership mindset: you clarify requirements, ask great questions, and drive work to completionTrack record of building reliable systems without sacrificing velocity—you know when to move fast and when to be careful
