Cloud Operations Engineer

Cloud Operations Engineer 6 month contract Location: London (Hybrid) Are you an experienced Cloud Operations Engineer with strong Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 experience? We're looking for a talented engineer to join the Technology team of this Financial Services organisation and play a key role in supporting and improving the hybrid cloud environment. This is a hands-on role where you will work across Azure, Office 365, Windows infrastructure and automation, providing technical expertise while helping to deliver improvements and new technology solutions. As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will act as a Level 3 escalation point, supporting critical infrastructure services and working collaboratively with engineering teams, architects and stakeholders to maintain a secure, reliable and efficient technology environment. Key responsibilities: Provide Level 3 technical support and escalation for cloud and infrastructure servicesManage and maintain Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environmentsSupport Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, security, governance and complianceManage modern workplace technologies including Microsoft Intune, Autopilot and DefenderSupport Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS and DHCPMonitor platform health, investigate issues and proactively improve service reliabilityDevelop automation solutions using PowerShell and Power AutomateContribute to infrastructure improvements, cloud initiatives and technology projectsWork with product owners, architects and technology teams to deliver solutionsParticipate in an on-call support rota Key responsibilities: Strong experience supporting Microsoft Azure environmentsProven experience managing Microsoft 365 servicesGood knowledge of Exchange Online and hybrid Exchange environmentsExperience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot and endpoint managementStrong Windows Server and Active Directory experienceExperience with PowerShell scripting and automationUnderstanding of networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, firewalls and load balancingExperience working within Agile/Scrum environments Desirable experience: Terraform / Infrastructure as CodeAzure DevOps and CI/CD pipelinesAzure Virtual Desktop or Windows 365Containerisation and serverless technologiesAzure or Microsoft 365 certificationsProgress MOVEit We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving processes and working collaboratively across teams.
