Infrastructure Architect

My client is seeking a senior technical authority to define, govern, and evolve infrastructure architecture across a complex group environment of 60+ individual operating companies. Reporting to the Head of Global Technology Services, you will provide architectural direction, standards, and assurance to ensure platforms are secure, resilient, scalable, and aligned with business strategy. Key Responsibilities Design Authority: Oversee enterprise infrastructure across M365, Azure, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and on-premises environmentsCloud & Hybrid Strategy: Define Azure hybrid architecture patterns (Well-Architected Framework), lead complex M365 tenant migrations, and modernize legacy infrastructureAutomation & DevOps: Promote Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) and align infrastructure with DevOps/platform engineering for CI/CDFinOps & Governance: Establish cost controls, tagging, budgeting, and accountability/chargeback models across operating companiesResilience: Own architecture for business continuity, disaster recovery, and backup systemsFuture Tech & AI: Define infrastructure architecture for AI/ML workloads, evaluate emerging Microsoft capabilities (Copilot), and promote AIOps Role Prerequisites Experience: 10+ years in infrastructure, cloud, or platform roles, with proven time operating at an architectural or design authority levelTechnical Depth: Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, M365, hybrid networking, data centres, and IAM (Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access)Scale: Proven ability to define architecture standards and governance in complex, multi-company environmentsCertifications (Preferred): Azure Solutions Architect Expert, DevOps Engineer Expert, FinOps Certified Practitioner, or TOGAF
