SQL Developer

We are looking for an experienced Senior SQL Developer to take ownership of a critical SQL Server environment and play a key role in designing, developing, and optimising database solutions. This is an opportunity for a strong SQL professional to influence technical direction, improve database performance, support business-critical systems, and mentor other developers. All the while, working within a collaborative technology team and playing a key role in improving SQL capability across the business. Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and optimisation of SQL Server database solutionsDevelop and optimise complex T-SQL including stored procedures, functions, views, and triggersTroubleshoot database performance issues, including query optimisation, blocking, and deadlocksSupport database security, backups, recovery, and high availability solutionsWork with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver effective technical solutionsProvide technical guidance and mentor junior developers Requirements 5+ years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server developmentStrong T-SQL skills and experience with SQL Server 2019+Experience designing relational databases and data modelsBackground working with high-volume transactional databasesExperience with ETL processes (SSIS or similar)Strong knowledge of SQL performance tuning and execution plansExperience with SQL Server Agent, backups, disaster recovery, and securityExposure to Azure SQL Database / Azure SQL Managed Instance is desirable Benefits Hybrid working opportunities with a flexible approachCompany pension schemeFree on-site parkingCompetitive salary packageHighly generous annual leave allowanceEnhanced family leave policiesRecognition schemes and long-service rewards
