(Senior) Software Developer C++ | Dresden | 18-Month Secure AUG Engagement | up to €100,000pa You will be working on real naval communications systems — full-stack C++ development for products deployed operationally. This is not a support role. You will own architecture, write and maintain software across the full lifecycle, and work directly with test and DevOps teams on live programmes. 60% home office. ASAP start. THE ROLE Software development in C++ for naval and tactical communications systems at a major German defence technology group. Architecture design, full lifecycle development, code reviews, and hands-on technical ownership from day one. YOU WILL Develop full-stack C++ software for naval communications systems and componentsDesign solution architectures within the overall software architecture frameworkCreate, document and maintain software throughout the full development lifecycleConduct code reviews to ensure quality and consistency across the codebaseProvide technical support to the test and DevOps teamAnswer implementation-related technical queries from the wider engineering team ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Technical degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, Telecommunications or comparableSeveral years of professional C++ development experienceStrong grounding in software design patterns and principlesGerman C1 minimum — required for team and daily communicationEnglish — requiredEU or EEA citizenship — required for security screeningWillingness to be on-site in Dresden 40% of the time THE DETAILS Location: Dresden — 60% Home Office / 40% On-site Salary: up to €100,000pa.
