Kubernetes Platform Engineer Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days per week) Salary: Highly Competitive + Bonus + Excellent Benefits A Tier 1 systematic trading firm is looking for an experienced Kubernetes Platform Engineer to help build and evolve the infrastructure that powers world-class quantitative research and trading. This is an opportunity to work on highly scalable Kubernetes platforms supporting everything from GPU-intensive machine learning workloads to ultra-low latency trading systems. The role You'll design, build and operate secure, highly automated Kubernetes infrastructure while partnering closely with researchers and engineers to deliver reliable, high-performance platforms. Key responsibilities Design and operate Kubernetes infrastructure at scaleDevelop custom Kubernetes operators and controllersDrive Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and HelmBuild GitOps pipelines with ArgoCD and FluxCDImplement observability using Prometheus, Grafana and OpenTelemetryImprove platform security through RBAC and OPA/GatekeeperCollaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience Requirements Strong Linux engineering backgroundExcellent Go or Python skillsDeep Kubernetes knowledgeHelm, Terraform and GitOps experiencePrometheus, Grafana and OpenTelemetryExperience with Kubernetes security and multi-tenant environments This is an opportunity to work on some of the most technically challenging Kubernetes platforms in the financial markets while joining a collaborative engineering culture focused on automation, scalability and reliability.
