For our business, for clients, and for you Job Title: DevOps / Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) Engineer , Fund Solutions Location: Makati City Role Summary We are seeking an experienced and self-driven DevOps / Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) Engineer to join our global Product Technology engineering team within a leading financial services group. Based in Manila, Philippines, this role provides APAC /Europe working-hours engineering coverage for business-critical cloud and integration environments as part of a globally distributed, follow-the-sun engineering model. This is a hands-on engineering role that sits close to software engineering, integration platforms and production support — it is not a purely infrastructure support position. You will help build, automate, deploy, monitor and troubleshoot cloud and integration environments, improve operational stability and reliability, and support engineering delivery during APAC hours, including early-day production monitoring, deployment and release support, and hands-on incident troubleshooting. Our teams build and support integration platforms, Azure-based microservices, web platforms, trade and payment automation flows, enterprise back-office synchronization services, data platforms, and business-critical file and API data exchanges used across fund administration and financial services operations worldwide. You will report to the Head of DevOps & Fund Solutions Development, based in Spain, as part of a shared engineering pool, with day-to-day work functionally aligned to platform and squad leads depending on platform priorities and support demand. Key Responsibilities Design, build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code and automation for cloud and integration environments using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates or similar. Build, manage and improve CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar), including build validation, artifact management, release automation and deployment gates. Support and automate deployments and releases across development, test and production environments, coordinating release readiness with engineering teams. Operate and support Azure-based services and microservices, including compute, containers, storage, file shares, networking dependencies, DNS, firewalls, private endpoints, certificates, credentials and connectivity. Manage secrets, certificates and credential lifecycles (e.g. Azure Key Vault or similar), including secure rotation and renewals. Monitor infrastructure and application health, logs and alerts using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics or equivalent; build dashboards and actionable alerting and continuously improve observability coverage. Provide hands-on troubleshooting of production issues: reading logs, tracing failures across APIs, message queues, scheduled jobs and file transfers, performing root-cause analysis and safe replay or reprocessing of failed flows. Support incident and change workflows in ITSM and DevOps tooling (e.g. ServiceNow, Azure DevOps), investigating issues, documenting findings and escalating appropriately. Create and maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides and operational documentation so that incident resolution becomes repeatable and transferable. Automate repetitive operational tasks with PowerShell, Bash or Python to reduce manual intervention and operational toil. Support integration patterns involving REST APIs, API gateways, message queues / service bus, asynchronous processing, SFTP, file shares and file-based data exchange. Contribute to environment management: provisioning, configuration, patching, capacity, cost awareness, backup and disaster-recovery readiness. Apply security good practices: least-privilege access, privileged access management, environment hardening and audit-friendly change control. Support engineering delivery by partnering with development teams on infrastructure needs, environment issues, performance and reliability improvements. Collaborate daily with engineers across Europe and other global regions, ensuring clean handovers as part of a follow-the-sun model. Participate in controlled out-of-hours or on-call escalation only where formally agreed and compensated. Core Skills & Qualifications Strong experience with Azure cloud operations and administration. Infrastructure-as-Code experience, preferably Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates or similar. CI/CD experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar tooling. Solid Git experience (GitHub, Azure Repos or similar), including branching strategies and pull-request workflows. Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python or similar. Experience with Docker / containerized workloads. Experience supporting production systems: incident investigation, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis. Understanding of networking fundamentals: DNS, firewalls, load balancing, certificates, connectivity, SFTP, private endpoints or equivalent. Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics or equivalent. Experience managing secrets and certificates (e.g. Azure Key Vault or similar). Comfortable reading logs, tracing issues across distributed components and following runbooks. Basic SQL skills for investigation and data verification. Good documentation and communication skills in English (verbal and written). Ability to work independently with distributed teams and stakeholders in different time zones. Nice To Have (Valued Skills) Experience with Kubernetes (e.g. AKS) or container orchestration at scale. Experience with .NET / C# application environments or microservices. Experience with integration platforms, API management, message queues / service bus, async processing or API orchestration. Experience with job schedulers or workflow orchestration tools. Experience in financial services, fund administration, payments, trade automation or other regulated environments. Knowledge of ServiceNow and ITIL-style incident/change processes. Experience with secure access models, privileged access management or secrets management (e.g. CyberArk). Awareness of cloud cost management / FinOps practices. Shift & Collaboration Expectations Working hours aligned with APAC business hours (Manila-based), with a shared morning window overlapping European teams. A degree of flexibility in working hours is expected to guarantee sufficient overlap with European teams for planning, releases, handovers and critical situations, always in line with local policies. The role provides APAC working-hours coverage and may participate in a formal on-call or critical incident escalation rota where approved by management and governed by local HR policy. Daily collaboration with engineers and platform owners across Europe and other global locations. Requires independent task management and comfort with asynchronous collaboration. What We Offer A supportive and multicultural work environment. Career progression opportunities in a growing global business. Exposure to real-world business operations and business-critical platforms in the financial domain. Long-Term Growth Path This role is ideal for an engineer who: Enjoys combining infrastructure automation, cloud engineering and hands-on production troubleshooting. Wants to work close to software engineering, integration platforms and microservices. Is curious about observability, reliability engineering, automation and operational excellence. Wants hands-on experience supporting and improving a portfolio of business-critical integration platforms, web platforms and cloud services within a global financial services organization.
