Lead Software Engineer

Lead Full Stack Developer Contract - Initial 10 months Hybrid, Dublin My client, a leading financial services company is on the lookout for a Lead Full Stack Developer on an initial 10 month contract with view for extension. The Job: Lead Technical Delivery: Act as a hands-on senior developer leading global teams in the design, development, and support of end-to-end regulatory reporting technology platform solutions aligned with enterprise architecture.Architecture & Framework Design: Provide technical thought leadership, define tool stacks, and create reusable frameworks, interfaces, and complex components for teams to leverage across the enterprise.Agile Execution & Process Optimization: Plan, coordinate, and execute technology delivery within an Agile framework (JIRA), continuously looking for ways to optimize SDLC processes and team efficiency.Quality & Test Strategy: Conduct code/design reviews, support team development best practices for high performance, contribute to test strategy creation, and drive test suite automation.Risk & Stakeholder Management: Ensure robust risk management (identification, action-plan execution, lifecycle ownership) and build strong relationships with key business and technology partners. Have You: Proven Background: 10+ years of software development experience with a track record in software delivery management within a large organization or financial services environment.Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with Java, Spring, Oracle (intermediate-to-advanced PL/SQL), Informatica, Angular, Autosys, and Linux/shell scripting.Engineering Best Practices: Experience with Continuous Integration build/deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins) and unit testing frameworks.Integration & Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and interface effectively with 3rd-party vendor platforms.Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills to guide global teams, mentor developers, face off with stakeholders, and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical partners.
