Its research platform is widely used by law firms, distressed investors, hedge funds, insurance companies, lenders, and other market participants who rely on accurate, timely bankruptcy data. BankruptcyData is recognized as the data source of record for the bankruptcy industry, offering a deep archive of current and historical filings, proprietary daily news, and detailed data extracted from a number of sources . Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Software Engineer. The Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain all parts of the BankruptcyData system. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing existing code, integrating data sources, and collaborating with product, research, and data teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. The role involves writing clean, testable code, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of the development process. Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.Extensive experience building and maintaining APIs and server-side services. Experience with Node and/or PHP is essential.Knowledge of Angular 22 front end development is desirable.Familiarity with SQL databases particularly MySQL and ManticoreComfort working in distributed, remote teams using modern version control, Gitlab CI/CD, and issue-tracking tools.Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
