Bridge IT Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Drupal Web Developer to join a high-profile Australian Government agency supporting the delivery and continuous improvement of critical public-facing digital services. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative web team responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing enterprise Drupal platforms that deliver secure, accessible and user-centred digital experiences for Australians. About the Role As a Senior Drupal Web Developer, you will provide technical leadership across the development, enhancement and ongoing support of complex Drupal websites and web applications. Working closely with business stakeholders, designers and technical specialists, you will help deliver modern, secure and accessible digital solutions while contributing to the ongoing evolution of the organisation's web platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain enterprise Drupal websites and web applications.Develop and maintain custom Drupal modules and functionality.Enhance website performance, security, scalability and reliability.Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues relating to performance, caching, integrations and background processing.Support the delivery of new features and enhancements across internal and external web platforms.Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical technical solutions.Lead code reviews and contribute to source control, testing and quality assurance processes.Work closely with infrastructure, security and vendor teams to ensure solutions meet technical standards and business requirements.Support the preparation of technical documentation and procurement requirements.Ensure websites comply with Australian Government accessibility, usability and user experience standards. Essential criteria Proven ability to develop and maintain Drupal websites, including custom module development and maintenance.Experience improving and managing a website’s performance, security and analytics reporting.Ability to uplift managed platforms to meet accessibility, usability and user-centred design requirements.Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents across performance, caching, background processing, and integrations, and provide technical advice to restore services quickly.Demonstrated experience leading website handoff processes, and managing code review, source control, testing and quality assurance processes.Ability to collaborate with technical specialists and service providers to ensure network and server architecture and configurations meet business requirements and appropriate technical standards. Desirable criteria Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal teams, business areas and external providers.
