Full Stack Engineer

Address: 1595 16th Ave., Suite 700 Richmond Hill ON L4B 3N9 Classification: Exempt Summary/Objective The Full Stack Engineer has a proficient understanding of the enterprise platform, and enhances user experience in response to client requirements. Responsibilities include analyzing development requirements and building test driven code; performing root cause analysis to identified issues; evaluating current systems and proposing innovative design improvements. Essential Functions/ Responsibilities Gather and define requirements working with 3rd party engineers to create partner products leveraging Paymentus platform features and integration toolsWork with internal team to support the partner integration throughout its life cycle which includes documentation, troubleshooting, and configuration.Evaluate product enhancement requests and integration of existing Paymentus features and optionsContinuously acquire knowledge of the Paymentus platform and solutions to make practical application for product configurationApply good enterprise development practices, develop and execute comprehensive test suites to ensure high quality of the deliverables Supervisory Responsibility This role does not have direct reports or supervisory responsibility. Education and Experience Required Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field2-5+ years of working experience in IT developmentAdvanced knowledge of OOP principles.Moderate to advanced skills in Java development skills or other object-oriented programming languages.Familiarity with HTTP protocol and RESTful APIs and related tools such as Postman or SoapUI.Moderate to advanced skills in responsive web development using HTML5, CSS3 (LESS, SASS, etc).Capable of writing and optimizing native JavaScript (ECMAScript6+).Basic to moderate skills working with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue, ExtJS.Moderate skills working with relational and NoSQL databases.Moderate skills working with Linux/Unix and scripting.Moderate ability to obtain and maintain server-side scalability and performance.Knowledge of information architecture structure and designAbility to knowledge share and act as mentor for rest of team.Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Experience building RESTful services in NodeJS or SpringBootJava Servlets, and J2EE frameworks such as Spring MVC, Struts 1.x/2.xDocker containerization, Kubernetes container orchestrationApache, Nginx, Tomcat 8.xDatabase experience with Oracle 11g and PL/SQLNoSQL experience with one of Couchbase, Dynamo, Hbase, InfluxDB, MongoImplementation of a TICK / TIG stackjQueryFreemarkerJSON, XML/XSD, SOAPMobile web development targeting Android/iOSTesting frameworks including Selenium, JUnit, Mockito, MochaCloud technologies such as AWS, GCPEclipse IDE, IntelliJ, WebStormGIT, or similar distributed source control with Mercurial, Subversion, etc..NET experience (integration purposes)Familiarity with Linux or BSDContributions to open-source projects and developer communities such as Github, Apache, StackOverflow, TopCoder, Google Developer Groups. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones. Physical Demands Requires sitting or standing at a computer desk for extended periods of time. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Travel Limited (5%) to no travel is required for this role.
