Job Description
Based at our head office in Chippendale, the Payroll Officer will play a key role in ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time, overseeing and processing the end-to-end weekly payroll for Youfoodz, approximately 800 employees, while collaborating closely with operations management teams across the AU business.
Reporting to the Senior Payroll Manager, you'll sit at the centre of a fast-paced, high-volume payroll operation and help design, develop and adapt internal tools that support and optimise critical business processes.

Execute and oversee the full end-to-end weekly payroll cycle for Youfoodz, covering approximately 800 employees, ensuring accurate and timely remuneration
Analyse and validate time and attendance records, ensuring strict compliance with relevant Modern Awards, enterprise agreements and company policies
Manage and reconcile complex payroll calculations, including novated leases, salary packaging arrangements and statutory deductions
Process and track complex terminations, redundancy packages, final leave payouts, and Workers' Compensation (WC) claims/payments in strict alignment with Australian legislation
Partner closely with the Workforce Planning (WFP) and regional operations management teams to resolve scheduling variances, audit roster data and streamline back-office workflows
Maintain and safeguard data integrity for employee master records across all integrated payroll, HRIS and time-tracking systems
Deliver exceptional internal customer service, acting as the primary point of contact for employee payroll queries and resolving escalations efficiently
Support the Payroll Manager with ad-hoc tasks and duties as required
You have…
Minimum 2 years' proven experience running high-volume, full-cycle end-to-end payroll within Australia (experience managing payroll for 500+ employees highly regarded)
Deep, practical knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Superannuation Guarantee (SG) requirements, PAYG tax and complex Modern Award interpretation
Strong capability processing advanced calculations, specifically novated lease reconciliations, complex termination payouts and Workers' Compensation processing
Proficiency with modern payroll platforms (ADP Payforce experience desirable but not essential), time and attendance software, and strong Excel skills
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations managers and Workforce Planning teams
