AWS Migration Engineer

Job Title : AWS Migration Engineer (Amazon MSK) Job location : Seattle, WA (onsite) Job Type: Contract Job Description: We are looking for an experienced AWS Migration Engineer with strong expertise in Amazon MSK (Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka) to support enterprise cloud migration and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience migrating Kafka-based workloads to AWS and building secure, scalable, and cloud-native solutions. Key Responsibilities • Lead AWS migration and cloud modernization projects. • Migrate and administer Apache Kafka workloads using Amazon MSK. • Design secure and scalable AWS architectures. • Automate infrastructure using Terraform or CloudFormation. • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams. • Implement monitoring, security, and performance optimization. Required Experience • Strong hands-on experience with AWS Migration and Amazon MSK. • Experience migrating self-managed Kafka to Amazon MSK. • Proficiency in AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, and CloudWatch. • Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation. • Scripting knowledge in Python or Bash. • Strong understanding of Apache Kafka architecture. Preferred Skills • Kafka Connect, MirrorMaker 2, Kafka Streams, and Schema Registry. • Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, and CI/CD tools. • AWS Certifications are preferred.
