Mulitple Software Engineer Canberra NV2 Clearance Intial Contract until EOFY We're seeking a talented engineer to join a major Defence ICT program, providing technical leadership across the design, development, integration, and validation of advanced software solutions supporting Australia's national security capability. About the Opportunity You'll play a key role in delivering complex software capabilities across an enterprise Defence environment, leading engineering activities from solution design through to system integration, testing, and deployment. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll help deliver innovative software solutions that support critical operational outcomes while mentoring engineers and driving engineering excellence. Key Responsibilities As the Software Engineer, you will: Lead the design, development, and integration of software solutions across complex ICT environments.Provide technical leadership and mentor junior software engineers.Develop high-quality software aligned with architectural standards and system requirements.Support software integration across infrastructure, networking, and enterprise platforms.Lead verification, validation, testing, and defect resolution activities.Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive continuous improvement.Produce technical documentation and support transition into operational environments.Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to deliver integrated solutions. What We're Looking For You'll ideally bring: Strong software engineering experience within complex enterprise ICT environments.Expertise in Java, Python, C++, or similar programming languages.Experience leading development teams or mentoring engineers.Strong understanding of the complete software development lifecycle.Experience with systems integration, verification, and validation.Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Highly Regarded Experience with: Defence or National Security programs.Geospatial or distributed software systems.DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, or containerised environments.Secure or highly regulated ICT environments.
