Job Title AWS Cloud Engineer Overview We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team and lead the development and integration of cloud-based solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting cloud systems that meet operational needs and improve overall performance. Your expertise will help drive innovation and ensure the reliability and security of our cloud infrastructure, making a significant impact on our organization’s technological capabilities. Education Requirements A bachelor’s degree is required for this role. Candidates with equivalent experience may also be considered. Clearance Requirements This role requires an active Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one. Work Arrangement This is an on-site position. Responsibilities Develops strategy and integration methodology around design, development and implementation of cloud-based solutions Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications Utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes Responsible for systems functionality, performance, and configurations issues Enables the quick development and release of changes and bug-fixes on an as-required basis and incorporation of feedback from developers/users Considered an emerging authority, who applies extensive technical expertise Develops technical solutions to complex problems Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering or related fields IAT-2 certification or higher One or more cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, etc.) Strong experience with cloud architecture, deployment, and management Proven ability to develop and implement cloud solutions in complex environments Experience with system integration, verification, and validation processes Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments Ability to analyze and troubleshoot system performance and configuration issues Excellent problem-solving skills and technical expertise Desired Skills Experience with automation tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell Experience working in a government or highly regulated environment Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams Why Apply Join our team as an AWS Cloud Engineer and play a vital role in shaping our cloud infrastructure.
