Junior Full Stack Developer

Junior Full Stack Developer Hybrid - Central London up to 3 days per week £35,000 - £40,000 We're looking for a Full Stack Developer to join a collaborative digital team building modern, user-focused web services. This role offers the opportunity to work across both front end and back end development, using technologies including React, JavaScript, Python and Django. You'll help develop new features, improve existing services and support the ongoing maintenance of digital products that are used every day. The team embraces AI-first development, so you'll be encouraged to use tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor and other coding assistants to work more efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and testing. What you'll be doing Building and enhancing web applications across the full technology stack, with a slight bias toward frontend Creating responsive, accessible and user-friendly interfacesMaintaining and improving existing services through bug fixes and updatesWorking closely with technical and non-technical stakeholdersUsing AI tools to accelerate development and problem solving What we're looking for Around 18 months+ experience in software developmentExperience with JavaScript and a modern framework such as React, a strong interest in UI and designKnowledge of Python, Django or another backend technologyGood understanding of HTML, CSS and GitA passion for building great user experiencesSomeone who is curious, eager to learn and comfortable embracing new technologies Nice to have Django or Wagtail experienceAccessibility knowledgePostgreSQL, Docker, REST APIs or automated testing experienceExperience working within public sector, charity or purpose-driven organisations This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career developer who wants to broaden their full stack experience, work with modern AI-powered development practices and contribute to meaningful digital products.
