Forward Deployed Engineer | Munich | Competitive Salary + Equity Early-stage AI company building agents for complex manufacturers, focused on automating the commercial response process. Their product reads RFQs, extracts technical requirements, generates offers, and turns weeks of inside sales work into hours. They’ve closed a competitive pre-seed, have paying customers across DACH, the US, Australia and Brazil, and are now scaling towards a Seed round. Role You’ll own customer deployments end-to-end, working directly with senior commercial and technical stakeholders while building production AI agents around real industrial workflows. Responsibilities Own enterprise deployments from kickoff through to production rollout and renewalBuild and adapt AI agents around RFQs, pricing, technical sales processes, ERP quirks and internal workflowsWork directly with Heads of Sales, CSOs, CTOs and CEOs to scope problems and drive adoptionTranslate repeatable customer patterns into scalable platform features with the core engineering teamIdentify internal champions and help them prove value inside their organisationRepresent the product through customer stories, case studies and industry conversations Requirements Strong software engineering fundamentals, ideally in Python, TypeScript or similarExperience or strong interest in AI systems, agents, RAG, LLM tooling or applied MLComfortable using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or similar to materially improve engineering outputEvidence of serious ownership, such as a startup, open-source work, student initiative, side project or high-impact roleStrong customer-facing ability, including executive conversations and structured problem-solvingDegree in Computer Science, Information Systems, AI or a related technical field from a strong technical universityFull working proficiency in German and English Tech Stack Python, TypeScript, AI agents, LLM tooling, RAG, internal agent harness, production SaaS systems Requirements / Constraints Munich-based or open to being close to the team. Full working proficiency in German and English required. Occasional customer travel, around 20 to 40%, mostly across DACH.
