DevOps Engineer Expert, Amsterdam (on-site) – International Client

Job role: DevOps Engineer Expert. Minimum experience: 3 to 5 years. Studies required: Certified engineer. Language: English (C1) (Mandatory). Location: Amsterdam (on-site). DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a DevOps Engineer with 3 to 5 years of professional experience to support the design, implementation, and optimization of modern DevOps practices and cloud-native environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, managing containerized workloads, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud platforms. The role requires strong expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and DevOps methodologies, as well as experience working in complex production environments. Candidates must hold a relevant engineering certification, possess excellent communication skills in English (C1 level mandatory), and have a proven background supporting cloud and infrastructure operations. Tasks: Design, develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines. Manage application deployments across cloud and Kubernetes environments. Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management. Administer and support AWS cloud services and Linux-based platforms. Manage and maintain containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes. Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability using observability tools. Troubleshoot incidents and production issues, performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions. Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to improve deployment processes and operational efficiency. Support security, backup, and disaster recovery initiatives. Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and best practices. Contribute to the continuous improvement of DevOps processes and platform stability. Specific Expertise: Required Qualifications Engineering degree or equivalent certified engineering qualification. Valid DevOps-related certification, such as:Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, orAWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional. English level C1 (mandatory). 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in DevOps engineering. Technical Skills DevOps practices and CI/CD implementation. AWS cloud platforms and services. Kubernetes administration and orchestration. Docker containerization technologies. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible. CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, and Azure DevOps. Monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, and Splunk. Scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or PowerShell. Linux system administration and troubleshooting. Additional Experience Experience working with European Institutions and/or public sector organizations (minimum of 4 years). Knowledge of security, backup, and disaster recovery processes.
