Description

Company Description ARQ is an innovative software platform that uses advanced biology and machine learning to help optimize human health and performance. The company integrates microbiome and proteomics data with real-time biometrics from continuous glucose monitors and wearable devices. This combination enables highly personalized insights and behavior recommendations for users. ARQ focuses on translating complex biological and data signals into accessible, actionable guidance. Team members collaborate at the intersection of health tech, data science, and user-centered product development. How we work We operate at pace and without formal specifications. Requirements arrive as conversations or a brief from the team, and they change as our understanding improves β€” the science underpinning the product is still evolving. This reflects our stage, not a lack of process. We're looking for engineers who can make a sensible decision on incomplete information, ship it, and adjust once real data is in. What you'll do Build and ship features in our React Native / Expo app (iOS and web)Write typed, testable TypeScript across the app and Cloud Functions backendIntegrate health data sources β€” Apple HealthKit, CGM devices, wearablesWork with Firestore data models and multi-tenant access rulesBuild product features on top of LLM APIs β€” recommendations, briefings, structured extraction Turn vague requirements into concrete work, and flag the assumptions you madeDebug real user data problems in production What we're looking for Strong TypeScriptSolid React Native experience β€” you've shipped to the App Store and worked with native modules, build configuration, and OTA updates Working knowledge of Firebase or Google Cloud β€” Cloud Functions, Firestore, Auth, or equivalent serverless experience Practical experience building with off-the-shelf AI models β€” prompting, structured output, and knowing where they're unreliable. You don't need to train anything Comfort with ambiguity: you ask the question that unblocks you, assume sensibly on the rest, and keep moving You speak up when a decision looks wrong Nice to have Expo / EAS React Query BigQuery or Python data pipelines HealthKit or health data integrations Genkit or similar LLM frameworks ο»Ώearly-stage experience
