We are looking for an engineer for our client in the manufacturing sector (life sciences) who will help build a platform based on the Unified Namespace (UNS) concept and an MQTT broker as a single source of truth for the entire organization. This is a role at the intersection of OT, IT, and IoT—real industry, real production data, and modern architecture. 100% remote work Rate: up to 1,300 PLN/hour net + VAT Team: international What you’ll be doing: Building and developing a production data distribution platform (MQTT + Unified Namespace) Implementing the HiveMQ broker as a central data source—publishing/subscription for systems and users Deployment and maintenance of applications on Kubernetes (on-premise) Integration of the OT world (PLC, SCADA, OPC UA) with the IT layer Secure end-to-end communication: TLS / mTLS, certificates Working within GxP compliance (support from a dedicated Validator and architect—you won’t be performing validation on your own) Qualifications: Professional experience as a DevOps engineer or integration engineer on projects using Kubernetes and MQTT brokers; experience in OT environments is a plus. Practical knowledge of IaC tools (e.g., Terraform), Helm, CRD/Operator Patterns, and GitOps (ArgoCD or Flux). Ability to design, deploy, and optimize MQTT brokers and configure Kubernetes clusters for high availability and performance. Knowledge of industrial protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP) and edge-to-cloud integration. Experience in regulated environments (GxP) and in computer system validation processes (CSV, IQ/OQ) and ALCOA+ principles. Knowledge of security technologies: mTLS, cert-manager, RBAC, ACL, and network segmentation principles compliant with the Purdue/ISA-95 model. Ability to create and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD/Flux) and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki). A technical college degree or equivalent professional experience in the field of information systems, automation, or a related field.
