Purpose: An opportunity has arisen for a Price Engineer/Pricing Data Analyst EMEA – Steel, based in Krakow (Poland), responsible for building, maintaining and improving the analytical foundation of pricing decisions across Steel in the region EMEA. The role connects product cost, plant cost, transport cost, VCC, TMC, RSP, historical selling prices, customer/product profitability and market feedback into reliable models and tools. The objective is to support disciplined pricing, margin protection, profitable growth and faster commercial decision-making. This role is execution-driven and data-driven. It does not replace commercial ownership of customers but provides the pricing intelligence and analytical discipline required for better commercial decisions. You will join the Commercial Excellence & Customer Experience Steel Team for the region EMEA, reporting to the Commercial Excellence & Customer Experience Director Steel EMEA. Key Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain the commercial cost model used to support RSP, offer pricing, price approvals and margin analysisSupport RSP governance and price list maintenance by ensuring data accuracy, consistency and usabilityProvide structured profitability analysis to support pricing decisions and commercial reviewsAct as the pricing-data expert in the development and improvement of digital commercial toolsDevelop and maintain recurring pricing and profitability views for management and commercial teamsWork across functions to ensure pricing input is reliable and commercially relevantMonthly price and margin analysis pack and Quarterly RSP tuning supportRegular cost update and price list supportOffer profitability support for strategic or high-risk quotationsPricing dashboard maintenance and improvementPricing exceptions and margin leakage trackingSupport in pricing automation and AI price agent development Qualifications: Degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics or equivalent technical/commercial background2-5 years of experience in commercial pricing, cost analysis, commercial controlling, sales operations, industrial finance, business analysis or technical-commercial rolesExperience in industrial B2B manufacturing is preferred but not a must haveEngineering background is an advantage due to the need to understand product cost drivers and industrial processesGood understanding of cost structures, margin calculation and profitability analysisStrong business judgment: able to distinguish relevant analysis from low-value reportingAbility to translate business requirements into clear tools and data specificationsStrong Excel and analytical modelling skills, ability to work with large datasets and identify inconsistenciesExperience with ERP, SAP, Power BI, Excel-based models or pricing tools is preferredAnalytical and structured mindset, high attention to detail, pragmatic, execution-oriented and able to work with imperfect dataStrong communication skills with both commercial and technical stakeholders, ability to work across regions and functions without direct authority with professional and self-confident appearance towards internal and external partnersFluent in English; additional European languages are an advantageAbility to work independently and manage time effectively; the role is based in Italy with willingness to travel regularly to our EMEA sitesA valid work permit for Poland/EU is essential What we Offer: At Vesuvius, we believe that great results come from great people.
