About The Role We’re looking for a Backend Software Developer to help us build the next generation of smart home water-saving solutions. You’ll take ownership of backend infrastructure, data pipelines, and microservices that power our IoT products. What You’ll Do Write, test, and deploy scalable backend codeExpand and maintain backend infrastructure and DevOps systemsImprove data pipelines and detection algorithms for optimal product performanceCollaborate with product, marketing, and UX/UI teams to deliver key featuresEnhance system scalability, responsiveness, and securityManage CI/CD pipelines and testing processesSupport IoT device integration and VPN systemsParticipate in Agile sprints and contribute to team planning Tech Stack Highlights Elixir, PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, C++, GraphQL, Flutter, AWS, MQTT, Grafana What We’re Looking For 6+ years in backend development and scalable systems5+ years with web frameworks and platform engineeringStrong experience with PostgreSQL and time-series dataProficiency in functional programming (Elixir, Erlang, Clojure, Haskell)Experience with OOP/procedural languages (e.g., Ruby, Python, Go, Java)Hands-on DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) experienceFamiliarity with AWS and cloud platform managementStrong testing and deployment practices within Agile environmentsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsB.S. in Computer Science or equivalent Nice-to-Haves Mobile app or frontend developmentEmbedded firmware and IoT experienceElectrical engineering and device prototyping Who You Are Self-driven and dependableDemonstrates ownership of features and productsOpinionated yet open to feedbackClear and articulate communicator Why Join Us Small team = high impactYour input is valued and visibleMission-driven work with real-world sustainability impactSupportive, collaborative, and accountable team culture
