Job Description We are looking for a talented GKE Administrator and Cloud Delivery Engineer to manage, scale, and evolve our Google Kubernetes Engine platform. The successful candidate will combine deep Kubernetes expertise with strong cloud delivery practices to ensure our container platform is production-ready, secure, and continuously improving. Key Responsibilities Job Description - Grade Specific Provision, manage, and optimise GKE clusters including Autopilot and Standard modes across multiple environmentsDesign and implement cluster networking, including VPC-native clusters, Shared VPC, and Private GKE configurationsManage GKE IAM, RBAC policies, and Workload Identity integration to enforce least-privilege accessOwn cluster lifecycle management: upgrades, node pool management, auto-scaling, and cost optimisationDefine and maintain infrastructure-as-code for GKE using Terraform and Helm chartsImplement GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or Flux for continuous delivery to GKE environmentsConfigure and manage Kubernetes-native tooling: Ingress controllers, service mesh (Istio/Anthos), and policy controllers (OPA/Gatekeeper)Deliver observability solutions using Google Cloud Monitoring, Managed Prometheus, and Cloud LoggingAutomate operational tasks and cluster configuration using Ansible playbooksCollaborate with application teams to define workload specifications, resource quotas, and namespace governanceSupport cloud delivery activities including release planning, environment management, and go-live support Required Qualifications 4+ years of experience administering production Kubernetes clusters, with at least 2 years on GKEStrong understanding of GKE networking: VPC-native, Shared VPC, Private Clusters, Cloud NATHands-on experience with Terraform for GKE cluster provisioning and node pool managementProficiency in Helm for Kubernetes application packaging and deploymentExperience with GKE IAM, RBAC, and Workload Identity FederationFamiliarity with GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux) and CI/CD pipeline integrationWorking knowledge of Ansible for configuration management and automationStrong understanding of container security, image scanning, and Binary Authorization Preferred Qualifications Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or CKA/CKAD certificationExperience with Anthos Service Mesh or Istio on GKEFamiliarity with Vertex AI Workbench or ML workloads on GKEExperience managing multi-tenant GKE platforms at enterprise scaleBackground in SRE practices, SLO definition, and error budget management Core Skills & Technologies GKE Kubernetes Terraform Helm Ansible GCP IAM / RBAC ArgoCD / GitOps Istio / Anthos Cloud Monitoring Private Clusters Binary Authorization GCP Networking Capgemini is an AI-powered global business and technology transformation partner, delivering tangible business value.
