Senior Backend Developer

Are you ready to shape the future of capital markets? We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join the Settlement & Tax team. The position will be based in Copenhagen, and start as soon as possible. You will report to the Engineering Manager, Alican Met. You Will Primarily Be Responsible For Developing, testing and maintaining high-quality backend services using Java/Kotlin and Spring BootDesigning and implementing scalable, event-driven architecturesBuilding and integrating RESTful APIs aligned with OpenAPI standardsCollaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and system enhancementsTroubleshooting and resolving application issues, ensuring optimal performance and responsivenessWriting clean, maintainable and testable code following best practicesParticipating in code reviews and sharing knowledge with team membersSupporting unit testing and continuous integration pipelinesUsing GIT for version control and team collaborationContributing to our observability setup (experience with OpenTelemetry is a plus)Creating and maintaining clear technical documentation Your Profile Strong foundation in software engineering principles (e.g. Clean Code, SOLID, basic Domain-Driven Design)Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs using Java or KotlinFamiliarity with event-driven systems; experience with Kafka is a strong plusProficiency in GIT and test-driven developmentKnowledge of or interest in observability practices (e.g. logs, metrics, tracing)Experience with Quarkus or similar frameworks is highly desirableStrong problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindsetAt least five years of relevant experience in backend developmentBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related fieldExcellent communication skills in English Join a Company Where Market Infrastructure Is Built On Innovation – And Where Every Innovation Starts With a Bold Mind Asking, “What’s Next?”.
