Description
Alpine Business Consulting is a specialized team that fixes enterprise performance management systems.
Many companies buy complex tools only to find that the installation was rushed, leaving finance teams with data that does not match.
We step in to clean up the configuration or build new systems from scratch, focusing on documentation and a single source of truth that users can actually trust.
Every role at Alpine is fully remote, allowing our team to work from wherever they are most effective.
We are currently supporting a partner based in Hamburg on a large scale technical project.
They require assistance in building out the frontend of their internal reporting tools to ensure data is accessible and clear for their finance department.
As an Associate Frontend Engineer, you will help bridge the gap between complex backend data and the visual tools employees use every day.
This is an entry level, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and the chance to learn from senior consultants who have spent years in the field.
The role
In this position, you will work on the user-facing side of our reporting solutions.
You will be responsible for translating design mockups into functional code, ensuring that the dashboards and interfaces we build are responsive and reliable.
Because we prioritize a single source of truth, your work will focus on making sure that when a user looks at a screen, they are seeing the most accurate and up to date information possible.
Since the role is fully remote, you will spend your day collaborating through digital channels.
You will work on task lists provided by senior engineers, gradually taking on more complex features as you become familiar with our development workflow.
A large part of our success comes from handover and documentation, so you will also be expected to write clear notes on the components you build so that client teams can maintain them later.
What you will be doing Developing and maintaining user interfaces for enterprise reporting tools using modern web technologies.
Working with senior engineers to implement new features based on technical specifications and design files.
Testing your code to ensure it works across different browsers and screen sizes.
Fixing visual bugs and interface performance issues identified during testing.
Collaborating with our partner based in Hamburg to understand specific user requirements for their reporting dashboards.
Writing technical documentation and configuration guides for every feature you complete.
Participating in code reviews to learn best practices and ensure consistent code quality.
Learning how enterprise data structures connect to frontend components to provide clean data to end users.
What we are looking for
We need someone who is comfortable with the basics of web development and is eager to learn how to apply those skills in a professional setting.
You do not need years of career experience, but you should have a solid grasp of how to build a webpage and a willingness to follow established documentation standards.
We value clarity and reliability over clever tricks.
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Familiarity with at least one modern frontend framework, such as React or Vue, through personal projects or schoolwork.
A strong interest in data visualization and how to present complex information clearly.
Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical choices in plain English.
Comfort working in a fully remote environment where proactive updates are necessary.
An organized approach to work, including the ability to manage small tasks and meet deadlines.
Previous experience with version control systems like Git is helpful but not required.
A preference for clean, readable code and clear documentation.
What the role offers
This is a full time, permanent position with a competitive salary for the entry level market.
Working at Alpine means you avoid the typical corporate fluff and focus on doing good work that lasts.
You will receive direct mentorship from senior consultants who have seen every implementation mistake in the book, giving you a strong foundation for your career in engineering.
Because we are fully remote, you have the flexibility to manage your workspace and day without a commute.
We provide the equipment you need to be successful and a supportive environment where asking questions is encouraged.
We believe in transparency and predictability, so you will always know what is expected of you and how your work contributes to the final handover for our clients.
Our approach at Alpine Business Consulting is built on the idea that systems should work reliably without needing us forever.
We spend a lot of time on the details that others skip, like thorough configuration guides and clean data mapping.
As an Associate Frontend Engineer, you will play a part in creating the tools that help businesses make better decisions.
We look for people who are steady, curious, and more interested in getting the job done right than in chasing the latest trend for its own sake.
