Description
Senior Software Engineer (AI-Native Full Stack)
Overview
We're partnering with a fast-growing startup building AI-powered products used by millions of creators worldwide.
This is not a traditional software engineering role.
We're looking for a product engineer who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys owning products from idea through production, and already relies on AI as a fundamental part of how they build software.
The ideal candidate has spent time at startups or small, fast-moving engineering teams where ownership is broad, shipping is frequent, and engineers work closely with Product, Design, and AI teams.
You'll be expected to move quickly, make thoughtful technical and product decisions, and help shape the future of AI-native software development.
If AI has fundamentally changed the way you design, build, debug, and ship software, and you can clearly explain how, we'd love to hear from you.
Location: San Francisco, CA or New York, NY (Hybrid, Tuesday-Thursday in office)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $180,000 - $230,000 + Equity

Ideal Candidate
The strongest candidates don't just know React and Python.
They've spent years building products that customers actually use.
They're comfortable moving from a rough idea to a production-ready feature with minimal direction.
They've worked on small teams where engineers wear multiple hats, own large parts of the product, and ship frequently.
They're genuinely AI-native.
AI isn't just helping them autocomplete code.
It's changing how they think, plan, debug, review, and build software every day.
They enjoy collaborating across engineering, product, and design, care deeply about user experience, and know when to move fast versus when to slow down and get the details right.
This Role May NOT Be the Right Fit If...
Most of your experience has been on large enterprise teams with narrow ownership.Your experience is primarily backend, infrastructure, or internal enterprise systems with limited customer-facing product work. You primarily use AI for code completion rather than throughout the engineering lifecycle. You have limited experience building polished React/TypeScript applications. You prefer highly defined requirements over ambiguous product problems. You're looking for a role focused on maintaining existing systems rather than building new products.
