About the Role
We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to drive infrastructure automation, CI/CD strategy, and cloud platform reliability for a large-scale, high-availability production environment.
You'll take ownership of complex automation initiatives end to end, from planning through delivery, while mentoring other engineers and shaping how the team builds and ships.
What You'll Do
Own project planning for infrastructure initiatives: scoping, scheduling, resourcing, and driving deliveryBuild and maintain sophisticated automation scripts and tooling, with a strong bar for readability and long-term maintainabilityAuthor and review Infrastructure as Code, setting standards for quality and guiding others through the review processDesign integration patterns and internal platforms that make it easy for developers to ship software reliablyOwn and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines across the orgManage containerized workloads and orchestration platforms (virtual servers, containers, Kubernetes) independentlyBuild automation that moves the needle on team and cross-org SLAs/KPIsBake security and data protection into pipeline designDiagnose and resolve complex, novel production issues using logs, metrics, and system behavior analysisSet branching strategy standards to support parallel development across teamsMonitor system performance proactively, catching and resolving bottlenecks before they become incidentsManage multi-region/multi-cloud networking, including zero-trust and VPN architecturesSupport canary deployments and chaos engineering practices to validate system resilienceDesign and implement disaster recovery and network redundancy strategiesLead technical discussions and share DevOps best practices across the teamMentor junior DevOps engineers with hands-on coaching and feedbackParticipate in an on-call rotation, including off-hours, supporting a large, mission-critical production systemWhat You'll Bring
3+ years of production experience as a DevOps or Software EngineerStrong Terraform expertise for building and managing infrastructure as codeDeep experience with Docker and Kubernetes for building and deploying containerized applicationsWorking knowledge of AWS and Azure, with a focus on cost-optimized cloud architectureProven ability to design scalable, resilient cloud systems using established architecture patternsProficiency in at least one scripting language for building custom tooling and API integrationsStrong version control fluency (branching, merging, conflict resolution)Familiarity with InfoSec standards and the ability to spot security gapsExperience with monitoring/observability platforms (e.g., Datadog) for alerting and root-cause analysisUnderstanding of cloud billing and cost management practicesStrong troubleshooting, decision-making, and communication skillsA collaborative mindset and high standards for work quality
