NO VISA SPONSORSHIP AT THIS TIME.*** Title: Manufacturing Engineer Reports to: Engineering Manager Salary Range: 90-115K Excellent Benefits Package Relocation Available DESCRIPTION: The Manufacturing Engineer has project responsibility and responsible for equipment, tooling, CNC programming, process evaluation, selection and improvement. The individual is responsible for developing cost reduction ideas and for implementing cost improvement ideas to meet company financial goals. The individual will plan, implement and measure the results of engineering projects and will supply engineering support in a company environment where the challenges vary as business shifts. The individual is responsible to develop and implement system facilities, equipment, tooling and process. Focus is on both existing production and on new production to start and run new business and new parts in production. SUPERVISORY: No supervisory responsibility DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: I. Plan and implement current & new engineering projects & measure results achieved. 2. Evaluates facilities, equipment, processes and systems for modification or replacement. Procures replacement or new equipment and facilities when necessary. 3. Evaluates operating costs and implements cost improvement plans in all areas to meet company financial goals. 4. Prepares bids and proposals for current and future customers, as well as equipment and tooling procurement. 5. Develops technical training programs for professional and hourly employees. 6. Researches, recommends and develops new manufacturing processes and promotes customer contact on related projects. 7. Provides engineering problem solving support throughout the facility on all issues pertaining to producing the end product. 8. Work closely with team members to provide a safe work environment. Identify and eliminate safety and housekeeping hazards to minimize workplace accidents. EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: I . Requires a minimum B.S. Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited engineering school. 2. A minimum five years experience in a manufacturing environment. 3. Must have strong PC abilities utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, CAD, database, MRP and scheduling tools. 4. Must possess an organized and professional approach to managing projects, displaying strong analytical skills, ability to learn new technologies and a strong engineering base from which to build on. 5. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 6. Must be highly organized to handle multiple priorities.
