Field Engineer / Desktop Support Engineer
Location: Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport.
Duration: 1 Year Contract with Possible Extension
Work Type: 100% Onsite

Candidates with hands-on onsite support experience in environments such as manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, retail, education, aviation, or corporate offices are welcome.
Remote-only support experience will not be considered.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Field Engineer/Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite technical support for IT infrastructure and operational systems in an airport environment.
This role involves hands-on support, troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and relocation of IT equipment and related technologies.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment and interacting directly with end users, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide onsite desktop and technical support for hardware, software, and peripheral devicesPerform installation, move, add, and change (IMAC) activities for IT equipmentTroubleshoot Windows workstations, printers, phones, and related devicesSupport network-connected devices and assist with basic network troubleshootingConfigure and maintain office and operational technology equipmentSupport airline/airport operational systems and display equipmentHandle equipment setup, replacement, and relocation activitiesDocument issues, resolutions, and service activities accuratelyProvide excellent customer service and communication to end usersParticipate in occasional travel, after-hours support, weekend work, or on-call activities as required
Required Qualifications:
2โ5 years of hands-on technical support or field support experienceStrong knowledge of desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, and Windows environmentsExperience supporting peripherals, printers, phones, or network-connected devicesFamiliarity with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and WordStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and in team environmentsComfortable working onsite in operational or industrial settings
Preferred Qualifications:
A+ Certification or equivalent technical certificationExperience with deskside support or field service environmentsPrevious airport, airline, manufacturing, healthcare, or enterprise support experience is a plus
Additional Requirements:
Candidates must be comfortable with background checks, fingerprinting, and drug screening requirements.Some travel may be required, including occasional overnight trips expenses to be bared by the employer.
