Senior Software Engineer โ Portfolio Implementation

This role is 4x a week onsite in their Greenwich, CT office.
The Team
You'll join the Portfolio Implementation engineering team, designing and delivering mission-critical systems that translate research outputs into portfolio decisions and orders.
You'll work closely with researchers, portfolio managers, and engineering peers to drive large-scale technical initiatives.
Your Role
Lead design and implementation of portfolio platforms that consume research outputs, perform constrained optimizations, and generate ordersOwn and evolve distributed, microservice-based systems built for reliability and scaleDrive complex, cross-cutting initiatives spanning multiple services and teamsProvide technical leadership to small engineering teams (2โ5 engineers), including design reviews and execution oversightMentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and hands-on guidanceWhat You'll Bring
7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with deep Java expertiseStrong Python skills in production or research-adjacent environmentsProven experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systemsFamiliarity with microservice technologies: Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL/MS SQL ServerStrong engineering practices: code quality, automated testing, observability, and monitoring (e.g., New Relic)Ability to lead technical change, manage risk, and deliver in complex environmentsInterest in financial markets a plus
