Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Calypso Developer to design, build, and support end-to-end trading and post-trade solutions.
This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep expertise in Calypso, Java development, and system integrations within financial markets.
You will work closely with architects, business analysts, and Agile delivery teams to deliver scalable and high-performance solutions across front-to-back trading systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop custom solutions using Calypso APIs and JavaBuild and manage Calypso workflows, rules, schedulers, tasks, and lifecycle eventsSupport full trade lifecycle including capture, confirmations, settlements, risk, valuation, and collateralDevelop and maintain real-time and batch integrations (REST APIs, XML, JMS, messaging frameworks)Perform impact analysis, root cause analysis (RCA), and performance optimisationProvide production support and contribute to BAU activitiesSupport Calypso upgrades, enhancements, and platform improvementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of hands-on experience with the Calypso Trading & Risk Management platformStrong Java development skills with expertise in Calypso frameworks and APIsDeep knowledge of Calypso workflows, schedulers, and post-trade processingSolid experience with SQL, Unix/Linux, and shell scriptingStrong understanding of financial products: FX, Rates, Fixed Income, Derivatives, ReposExperience with system integrations and messaging frameworks (JMS, MQ, APIs)Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical issuesExperience working in Agile environments
Nice to Have
Exposure to Calypso CATT, upgrades, or platform migrationsExperience supporting regulatory initiatives or high-availability platformsKnowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
