Role Overview:
The SAS Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions to support business insights, regulatory reporting, and operational analytics within the insurance domain.
The role requires strong expertise in SAS LSF (Load Sharing Facility) and SAS Enterprise Guide (EG), ensuring efficient automation, scheduling, and performance tuning across data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain SAS programs and workflows to support analytical and reporting needs.Manage SAS LSF job scheduling, monitoring, and performance optimization.Develop and automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using SAS.Utilize SAS Enterprise Guide (EG) for data analysis, validation, and report generation.Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and actuarial teams to deliver data-driven insights.Support regulatory and compliance reporting aligned with insurance industry standards.Troubleshoot and optimize existing SAS jobs for efficiency and accuracy.Maintain documentation and adhere to governance and data quality practices.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience as a SAS Developer in large-scale or enterprise environments.Strong hands-on experience with SAS LSF (Platform Suite for SAS) and SAS Enterprise Guide (EG).Proficiency in SAS Base, SAS Macro, and SQL for data manipulation and reporting.Experience in data integration, automation, and performance tuning.Knowledge of insurance domain processes such as policy, claims, or actuarial data (highly desirable).Familiarity with cloud or hybrid environments is a plus.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
