Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They have operations across most major verticals, including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private clients, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking. Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled IT – Specialty Developer III to join our client in support of an existing vacancy. Contract Period: 8 months with potential to extend or Convert Pay Rate: Starting from $70 per hour Location: Toronto, ON Location Type: Hybrid Business Hours: Monday-Friday, Core Business Hours Job Responsibilities: Design, build, maintain, and optimize DevOps and CI/CD pipelines supporting iOS and Android mobile application deliveryLeverage GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent automation tools to streamline build, test, deployment, and release processesSupport and enhance Android and iOS build tool chains, ensuring reliable, scalable, and repeatable mobile build processesDevelop and maintain scripts using Python, Bash, and related tooling to automate operational tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce manual effortCollaborate with development, SRE, DevOps, cloud engineering, and internal project teams to troubleshoot issues, support releases, and meet delivery timelinesMonitor build and deployment processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to increase stability, reliability, and performanceApply DevOps best practices across source control, branching strategies, configuration management, environment readiness, and release governanceSupport cloud-based engineering and deployment activities, with exposure to Azure Cloud, Azure App Services, networking, and deployment patterns such as Blue/Green or Active/Active considered an assetContribute to AI-driven development initiatives and explore opportunities to improve automation, productivity, and platform capabilitiesCommunicate effectively with stakeholders, remain organized and detail-oriented, and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environmentExperience & Qualification Requirements:Bachelor’s in computer science degree required5+ years of DevOps experience within a Developer, Site Reliability Engineer or DevOps specialistExperience in administrative MACOS (Mac Operating System)Deep knowledge of Git Hub Actions or Jenkins or equivalentDeep knowledge of Android and iOS build toolchainsScripting experience – Python, BashPrior banking, or fintech experienceKnowledge of Azure App ServicesKnowledge of networkingDeep knowledge of cloud engineering/development within Azure CloudKnowledge of deployment patterns – Blue/Green or Active/ActiveKnowledge of AI driven developmentHow to Apply: If you are a motivated professional looking to contribute to a leading team, please submit your resume outlining your qualifications and experience relevant to this role.
