YOUR ROLE
Within the Wind River Cloud team, this role focuses on ensuring the quality and reliability of the Wind River Conductor platform, a key orchestration engine in the Wind River Cloud Platform (WRCP).
The position blends software development and advanced test automation to validate large-scale distributed systems built on Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native technologies.
How You Will Contribute
In your daily work, you will:
Develop and test software for a complete cloud infrastructure software stackDesign and build scalable test automation for Wind River Conductor Design and implement high-quality code based on Kubernetes, containerized applications and distributed cloud systemsDevelop end-to-end, integration, and system-level tests for distributed cloud systemsApply Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automation-first practicesValidate Kubernetes-based deployments across distributed environmentsOwn regression testing strategy, prioritization, and executionInvestigate and debug issues during product verification and customer integrationContribute to CI/CD pipelines and test infrastructureWork with open-source technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenStack, Helm, Ansible, and DockerSupport platform upgrades, automation, and lifecycle validationContribute and collaborate across development, QA/PV, and platform engineering teams
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field5–7+ years of software engineering or SDET experienceStrong Python programming skillsExperience with Linux and shell scriptingExperience testing and deploying software with Kubernetes, Docker, and HelmExperience working in Agile/SCRUM teamsExperience building or testing distributed systemsStrong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExperience working with globally distributed teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Cloudify or Wind River Cloud PlatformUnderstanding of OpenStack architecture (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone)Experience with RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, YAML, and TOSCAExperience with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworksBackground in high-availability or carrier-grade systemsContributions to open-source projectsExperience with performance, scale, or chaos testing

Compensation
This role is compensation range is between $90,000 to $120,000 CAD plus annual incentive plan bonus.
Compensation is determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members.
