Senior Platform Engineer

Senior Platform Engineer Berlin, Germany — Hybrid Developer Platforms | Cloud Infrastructure | Platform Engineering For one of our clients, a fast-growing Developer Platforms company based in Berlin, we are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help build the internal platform used by multiple product teams to develop, deploy, observe, and operate cloud services independently. What You’ll Be Working On • Designing and developing the company’s internal developer platform • Building reusable infrastructure and deployment capabilities for multiple product teams • Managing scalable Kubernetes environments across development and production • Creating secure, repeatable cloud infrastructure using Terraform • Implementing GitOps-based deployment and configuration workflows • Developing platform services, automation, and internal tooling in Go • Improving developer self-service across deployments, observability, and service operations • Establishing reliable infrastructure standards and golden paths for engineering teams • Improving platform resilience, scalability, security, and cost efficiency • Working closely with product engineers to understand and remove delivery bottlenecks Experience Required • 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure • Strong production experience with Kubernetes • Advanced experience building and managing infrastructure with Terraform • Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud architecture • Experience implementing GitOps practices with tools such as Argo CD or Flux • Experience developing automation, services, or internal tooling in Go • Good understanding of distributed systems, networking, observability, and production reliability • Experience supporting multiple engineering teams in a cloud-native environment Nice to Have • Experience building an internal developer platform or developer portal • Familiarity with Backstage or similar developer-experience platforms • Experience with service meshes, policy-as-code, or Kubernetes operators • Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, or comparable observability tooling • Experience with platform security and secrets-management technologies • Previous experience in a Developer Tools, B2B SaaS, or cloud infrastructure company
