Linux System Engineer 6 Month Contract Sydney | Hybrid Working We're partnering with a well-established enterprise organisation seeking an experienced System Engineer to join a high-performing technology team. This is an opportunity to work across large-scale, business-critical infrastructure, contributing to platform stability, modernisation and ongoing operational excellence. What you'll be doing Administering and supporting enterprise Linux server environments.Delivering operating system upgrades, platform standardisation and lifecycle management initiatives.Automating infrastructure processes using scripting and Infrastructure as Code tools.Supporting secure, resilient and highly available enterprise infrastructure.Collaborating with engineering and operations teams to continuously improve platform performance and reliability. What we're looking for Minimum 4 years' experience in enterprise systems administration or infrastructure engineering.Strong expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, with exposure to both operating systems.Proven experience delivering operating system upgrades, lifecycle management and platform standardisation projects.Strong automation and scripting skills using technologies such as PowerShell, Python or Terraform.Solid understanding of infrastructure security, networking and identity management.Experience working within large enterprise or highly regulated environments.
