Software Developer Space Mushrooms is looking for a motivated and versatile Software Developer to work on mobile and desktop applications used by millions of people worldwide. In this role, you will contribute to the development and evolution of complex, real-world products, collaborating closely with Product Managers, Designers, and talented technical leads. This is a hands-on opportunity to grow within a fast-scaling startup, taking ownership of key projects and building software with real impact. Who we are Space Mushrooms is a startup founded in 2021. In a short time, we have built a diversified portfolio of mobile apps and software, which includes Photo and Video Editing, Music, Interior Design, Drawing software, and more, currently reaching over 3 million downloads per month and 5 million active users. Since its inception, the company has experienced exponential growth: we closed 2025 with €10M in revenue and €4.5M in EBITDA, and in 2026, we will reach €20M in revenue and €13M in EBITDA. Our goal is to continue on an exponential growth trajectory, and to achieve this, we need to build a team of excellence that will help us scale the project. Some of your key responsibilities Develop and maintain applications, services, and internal tools across different platforms and technologies.Contribute to the evolution of applications used by millions of users, by introducing new features and continuously improving product functionality.Work on existing codebases, understanding, maintaining, and enhancing complex and evolving systems.Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Designers, working in a data-driven environment where requirements are defined through product analysis and UI/UX flows are provided via Figma.Participate in technical decisions and contribute to scalable, maintainable solutions.Ensure code quality, stability, and performance across products. Who you are You have experience in software development.You are comfortable working with different programming languages, frameworks, and technologies.You are comfortable working across different platforms and domains, whether mobile, desktop, backend, or internal tools, adapting quickly to the needs of each project.You are comfortable switching between projects and adapting to changing priorities.You can contribute to existing products and adapt to different codebases and architectures.You are curious about modern technologies and eager to continuously learn and improve.You take ownership of your work and enjoy solving problems in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The package also includes an annual performance-based variable bonus, awarded as a percentage of your base salary. Contract & commitment Fixed-term or Permanent, full-time. The selection process We’ll start with a CV screening, to check how your experience and skills match the role. Next, there will be a behavioral interview, where we’ll get to know your working style and past experiences. You’ll then go through a technical evaluation, which may include a technical interview and/or a practical assessment. Finally, there will be a business case interview, designed to evaluate your analytical and reasoning abilities.
