Description

We're working with a leading global investment management firm to hire a Python Developer to support the development of a next-generation Valuation Workbench platform. This is an exciting opportunity to work on business-critical applications, modernize legacy workflows, and build scalable backend services that power enterprise financial systems. What You'll Do Design and develop backend services and REST APIs using Python.Build scalable data processing solutions and business logic supporting valuation workflows.Integrate with Snowflake and other enterprise data platforms.Develop services that interact with legacy systems and modernize existing workflows.Build tools to read, write, and generate Excel-based reports and templates programmatically.Partner with architects, business analysts, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality software.Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while contributing to technical documentation and best practices. What We're Looking For 5+ years of software development experience.Strong Python development experience, including FastAPI, Flask, or Django.Hands-on experience working with Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse.Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.Experience building backend applications with Git-based development workflows.Ability to troubleshoot and support both modern and legacy applications.Experience automating Excel files with Python (openpyxl, xlwings, Office Scripts, or similar) is a plus.Experience integrating with legacy Microsoft platforms is a plus. Preferred Background Experience building enterprise data-driven applications.Strong understanding of backend architecture, API design, and cloud technologies.Financial services or investment management experience is a plus but not required.
