Summary
At X&, we're hiring a Full Stack / Release Engineer (Japan) to join our engineering team and own both feature development AND the release pipeline behind Sanbo, our AI-native platform for finance.
You'll combine product engineering (React/TypeScript, Python/FastAPI) with deep ownership of CI/CD, monitoring, and client-site deployments.
A critical role for our Japan rollouts and enterprise client environments.

The Role
We're looking for a Full Stack / Release Engineer who combines product engineering skill with deep ownership of our release pipeline.
You'll ship features AND own the systems that get code from PR to production reliably and safely.
This role is critical for our Japan deployments and client-site environments.
What You'll Do
Build and maintain full stack features (React/TypeScript, Python/FastAPI)Own the CI/CD pipeline: build, test, staging, and production deployment workflowsManage release cadence, versioning, and rollback proceduresSet up and maintain monitoring, alerting, and on-call runbooksSupport client-site deployments and POC environment setup for Japan enterprise clientsImprove developer experience: local dev setup, tooling, and build performance
Requirements
3+ years of full stack experience with strong backend skills (Python, Node.js, or similar)Hands-on CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar)Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or container-based deploymentsStrong debugging, monitoring, and incident response skillsBusiness-level Japanese or English
Nice to Have
Experience deploying or operating systems in regulated/financial environmentsInfrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, Pulumi)Observability stack experience (Datadog, Grafana, Sentry)
