Freelance Azure Cloud Architect - Greenfield Project - Long Term
For one of our leading Logistics Clients we are looking for a freelance Azure Cloud Architect responsible for designing and delivering a greenfield cloud platform as part of a large-scale transformation programme.
The role focuses on defining the target Azure architecture, establishing cloud governance and security standards, and enabling the delivery of scalable, resilient, and cloud-native solutions from the ground up.
Responsibilities
Design and implement a greenfield Microsoft Azure cloud architecture aligned with business and technical requirements.Define cloud governance, security, networking, identity, and operational standards.Develop scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions using Azure best practices.Lead the design of landing zones, connectivity, and core platform services.Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.Provide architectural guidance for cloud migration, application modernization, and platform engineering initiatives.Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, security, and application teams to deliver cloud-native solutions.Ensure cloud environments meet security, compliance, and operational requirements.Produce architecture documentation, roadmaps, and technical standards.Act as the technical authority, providing leadership and mentoring throughout the transformation programme.
