Description

The i-doit group builds software that thousands of IT teams rely on every day: our cabling documentation PATCH MANAGER, the CMDB and IT documentation platform i-doit, plus solutions for ITSM, discovery, ISMS, data protection, and IT emergency management. From our locations in Amsterdam, Netherlands and Düsseldorf & Hannover (Germany), we serve customers worldwide. We are expanding our cloud business and are hiring at earliest availability - that's where you come in! Tasks As Senior DevOps Engineer (gn) you will be part of our TechOps team, building and operating our customer platforms and internal infrastructure. Your main responsibilities will include: Design, build, and operate our cloud-hosted SaaS infrastructure (AWS, OpenStack) Automate provisioning and deployments with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins) Administer and harden firewalls, VPNs and network security across our environments Monitor production systems, respond to incidents, and continuously improve availability and performance Manage Linux systems and containers at scale Participate in Scrum sprints with our development teams and apply DevOps practices end to end Use AI-assisted tooling (e.g. Claude Code) to speed up automation, troubleshooting, scripting, and operations work Contribute to security and compliance of the platform (backups, disaster recovery, access control) Provide technical support related to the PATCH MANAGER and i-doit software setup Requirements Requirements 3+ years of experience operating production cloud infrastructure as a system administrator, DevOps engineer, or similar Strong AWS administration skills (EC2, VPC, IAM, KMS, S3, and related services) Solid Linux and general networking knowledge (DNS, routing, load balancing, TLS) Hands-on experience with firewalls and VPNs in production environments Familiarity with DevOps procedures Fluent English (written and spoken) Located in Germany or the Netherlands with the right to work there and ability & willingness to travel to the Amsterdam location if required Nice to have Terraform and infrastructure-as-code experience Kubernetes administration in production (Helm, operators, cluster upgrades) Cloud and virtualization experience (VMware, Proxmox, or similar) Experience using Claude Code or other AI coding agents in daily work Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar) and Ansible automation Observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or similar) CI/CD tooling (Jenkins) Exposure to security/compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR-compliant operations) German or Dutch language skills Benefits More than a job - Benefits to look forward to A technically varied role with real ownership and responsibility A collaborative team of highly skilled professionals An established company living the energy of the start-up spirit with a culture of trust and constructive growth feedback without the restraint of strict hierarchies Competitive salary Freedom to expand your professional knowledge Based in locations in Amsterdam (NL) and Düsseldorf & Hannover (DE) we are an international company group providing flexible working hours and working models (including remote-first) Elaborate team events Piqued your interest?
