High-impact engineering role focused on performance-critical systems, with strong compensation, relocation support, hybrid work, and opportunities to work on advanced technology challenges.
Description
C++ Developer – Low-Latency | Trading | Amsterdam [€120K OTE]
The systems that price and trade sit on a C++ core, built by a tech team of around twenty across three teams in Amsterdam.
How fast and how accurately prices reach the market comes down to the code you write.
My client is an international trading firm with its headquarters in Amsterdam.
Around a hundred people in total, roughly twenty of them in tech in Amsterdam, working across three development teams.
They build high-performance pricing and market-making systems, mostly in Tbricks, around core trading and risk frameworks.
The C++ core is the foundation, Rust is being adopted step by step, and FPGA work is on the roadmap.
The culture leans on autonomy, ownership, and constant optimisation, with engineers working shoulder to shoulder with quantitative traders and researchers.
What you’ll do
You join either the Pricing team or the Market Making team.
On Pricing, you build and maintain the algorithms that turn two live data streams, signals from internal traders and data from external market feeds, into accurate real-time prices the rest of the business trades on.
On Market Making, you build custom plugins for liquidity providers and market-making infrastructure that talks to the risk systems and trading strategies.
Either way you write clean, well-tested, high-performance C++, contribute to architecture and performance decisions, support containerised deployments on Kubernetes, and work closely with traders, researchers and other engineers.
Rust is coming into the stack, so you will pick it up as you go.
Your profile
6+ years with strong, modern C++A background where latency or performance mattered (trading experience not required)Low-latency, parallel or distributed systems experienceComfortable in Linux and production environmentsOpen to picking up Rust; Python a plusFluent English, and in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam from within Europe
What’s in it for you
€120K OTE, with real upside beyond that.
On top of that, 29 holidays, a pension scheme, and relocation support with visa sponsorship for candidates already based in Europe.
Hybrid working, with three days a week in the Amsterdam office.
