DevOps Software Engineer

Role Title: DevOps Software Engineer Start Date: ASAP Contract Length: Till March 2026, with likely extension - 2 year programme of work Rate: Competitive Inside IR35 Role Overview Deloitte Operations is seeking a DevOps Software Engineer to join their Technology and Transformation Programme, supporting a key end client. This role focuses on implementing best practices in CI/CD, containerization, automation, and deployment processes to drive operational excellence and deliver high-quality solutions. Responsibilities & Requirements Experience in technology application development/deployment, with hands-on experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines using industry best practices Experience managing source code and version control for various projects Preferred: Experience with GIT, Jira (issue/problem tracking), TeamCity (team collaboration software), and continuous integration environments like uDeploy Experience deploying containerized applications using Docker and OpenShift Working knowledge of build/ship commands using Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes Responsible for software builds and releases Working knowledge of Docker/OpenShift registry Good to have: Knowledge of Lighspeed Expert-level knowledge of debugging deployment issues Experience designing and developing builds, scripts, and deployment procedures (TeamCity/uDeploy preferred) Works closely with quality assurance teams to ensure final versions meet organizational standards in all environments Certification in DevOps skills is desirable
