Role: Lead Software Engineer, Menu PlatformLocation: Miami, Florida, United States (On-site)Employment Type: Full-timePayout: $138,300 – $172,900 annually Role Overview We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership for a modern menu platform supporting large-scale digital and in-store experiences. This role combines software architecture, full-stack development, and technical mentorship to modernize platform capabilities, drive engineering excellence, and deliver scalable, reliable solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead the architecture, technical direction, and design decisions for the menu platform.Develop, test, and deploy production-ready code while working closely with the engineering team.Lead the modernization of legacy C# and SQL Server services by re-architecting them into a modern TypeScript-based platform.Guide day-to-day technical delivery by prioritizing work, removing technical blockers, and conducting code reviews.Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.Define and implement strategies for incorporating AI capabilities into development workflows and production systems.Collaborate on system design to ensure scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including demonstrated technical leadership.Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React, and React Native.Experience designing service-oriented architectures and backend frameworks such as NestJS.Full-stack experience across CI/CD, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar), backend services, frontend development, and observability tools.Proven experience leading system architecture initiatives and modernizing mature applications through rewrites or platform migrations.Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity.Strong communication, technical leadership, mentoring, and code review skills.
