Full Stack Product Engineer

Job title: Full Stack Software Engineer/ Product Engineer Location: 5 days/week on-site in Palo Alto, CA Compensation: $140K–$250K + competitive equity Important: Visa sponsorship is not available for this role Tech stack: Python, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, TypeScript, React, AWS, Docker Talent Stack is partnering with a fast-growing, VC-backed AI LegalTech startup that is transforming the U.S. immigration process through AI-powered tools built for legal teams, businesses, and individuals navigating complex immigration matters. This is a confidential search for a Product Engineer who wants real product ownership in a fast-moving, founder-led startup environment. This is a backend-leaning full-stack role where you’ll work directly with the founding team, internal legal team, and customers to build tools that save hours of manual work and support high-stakes immigration cases. What you’ll own: • Designing APIs, building database schemas, and shipping React frontends • Building AI-powered product features on top of LLMs and ML models • Working directly with legal users to understand workflows and ship practical solutions • Moving quickly from idea to production without layers of process • Using AI coding tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex as part of your daily development workflow Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science required at minimum • 2+ years of professional full-stack or backend-heavy engineering experience, excluding internships • Strong Python/backend fundamentals • Comfortable owning frontend work when needed • Daily active use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex • Experience at a strong product engineering company, VC-backed startup, or as a founder/builder •High-energy, high-ownership, and excited by an intense in-office startup environment Interested or know someone who fits this profile?
