They're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a collaborative team developing highly available, cloud-native platforms that process large volumes of real-time data. The Role You'll play a key role in designing and developing modern backend systems that process live data, integrate with external platforms and support business-critical applications. Responsibilities include: Designing and developing scalable backend services using Python and JavaBuilding cloud-native, event-driven applicationsDeveloping integrations with third-party platforms and APIsDesigning and optimising real-time data processing pipelinesImproving application performance, resilience and scalabilityWorking closely with technical stakeholders to deliver high-quality softwareContributing to infrastructure, deployment and continuous improvement initiatives Technology You'll be working with a modern engineering stack including: PythonJavaGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP)DockerREST APIsEvent-driven architectureStreaming dataDistributed systemsReal-time data processing About You We're looking for engineers with experience in: Commercial Python developmentJava developmentCloud platforms (GCP preferred, although AWS or Azure experience is also valuable)Docker and containerised applicationsREST API developmentEvent-driven or distributed systemsReal-time or high-performance backend applicationsDesigning scalable data pipelines Desirable Experience Experience working within high-performance, highly transactional environments would be advantageous, including: Financial services or electronic trading platformsSports betting, iGaming or wagering technologyTrading or market data systemsLow-latency applications and streaming architecturesFIX Protocol or electronic trading integrations (particularly for candidates from financial services) What's on Offer?
