Summary

A leading European financial services organization is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its growing international team. The role involves conducting technical analyses, designing and coding enterprise applications, defining testing strategies (including AI-assisted test coverage), managing production releases, and administering applications with focus on performance, availability, and security. The successful candidate will lead internal technical meetings, mentor junior developers, and promote best practices including effective use of AI coding assistants. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience building enterprise applications with Java and/or .NET (C#), strong expertise in Spring Boot and/or .NET Core, REST APIs, microservices, and software engineering best practices including Git, automated testing, CI/CD, secure coding, and relational databases. Familiarity with AI-powered coding assistants and integrating AI-generated code into production is essential. Fluency in French with good command of English is required. Your tasks and responsibilities: Conduct detailed technical analyses and document IT developments.Design, analyze impacts, and code programs following UI/UX and coding standards.Define, organize, and drive unit and integration testing strategies, leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate test coverage where appropriate.Ensure smooth production implementation and release management.Manage corrective and evolutionary maintenance.Administer applications in your domain, focusing on performance, availability, and security.Lead internal meetings with team members and project stakeholders and contribute to technical decision-making.Mentor junior developers and promote best practices, including effective use of AI coding assistants.Participate in IT on-call duties as required. Your skills and experience: 5+ years of experience building enterprise applications using Java and/or .NET (C#).Strong expertise in modern backend development with Spring Boot and/or .NET Core, including REST APIs and microservices.Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including Git, automated testing, CI/CD, secure coding, and relational databases.Comfortable working with Azure DevOps and modern collaborative development workflows.Passionate about using AI-powered coding assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) to accelerate development while maintaining high standards of quality and security.Experience reviewing, validating, and integrating AI-generated code into production-grade applications.Familiarity with modern front-end technologies (Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS) is a plus.Curious about financial technology and motivated by building reliable, scalable enterprise solutions.Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and mentor teammates.Fluent in French with a good command of English.A proactive, collaborative mindset and a passion for continuous learning and innovation.
