Job Summa ryWe are seeking a AWS Cloud Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications, infrastructure, and modern data platforms on AWS. The ideal candidate is a strong software developer with hands-on experience in JavaScript and Python, expertise in AWS Cloud Development Kit (AWS CDK), and experience building AWS Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Lakehouse solution s. This role combines software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and data engineering to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud solutio ns. Key Responsibili tiesDesign, develop, test, and deploy cloud-native applications and services using JavaScript and Python.Build, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK (Infrastructure as Code).Design, build, and support AWS Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Lakehouse solutions.Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and serving data across operational and analytical platforms.Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and integrations with AWS services.Work with AWS services including Lambda, ECS Fargate, S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, IAM, EventBridge, Step Functions, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.Design and manage data storage and query solutions using PostgreSQL, Amazon Athena, and Apache Iceberg.Collaborate with solution architects, data engineers, product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices to automate application and infrastructure deployments.Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, cloud infrastructure, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.Apply cloud architecture and Infrastructure as Code best practices to ensure scalable, maintainable, and secure soluti ons. Required Qualifica tionsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.5+ years of software development experience using JavaScript and Python in production environments.Hands-on experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS.Strong experience with AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) and Infrastructure as Code.Experience designing, implementing, and supporting AWS Data Lake, Data Warehouse, or Lakehouse architectures.Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.Experience working with PostgreSQL, Apache Iceberg, and modern data storage technologies.Understanding of distributed systems, REST APIs, data modeling, and application integration patterns.Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile software development.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration sk ills. Preferred Qualific ationsExperience with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore is an assetExperience building event-driven and data-intensive cloud applications.Familiarity with AWS Lake Formation, Apache Spark, or Amazon EMR.Knowledge of data governance, security, observability, and cloud cost optimization best practices.Experience with LangChain and LangGraph for AI agent and workflow orchestration.AWS Certific ations
